Marching band has started already. Last weekend we were at Lafayette Jeff. Western took first place in Class C. They were also Grand Champions. They outscored all of the other bands including bigger bands from Class B and Class A. They're off to a great start. This year's show has a lot of pieces that are popular for bands and orchestras to perform, such as "O Fortuna", "Overture Candide", and "New World Symphony". The marching this year is extremely difficult as it is very fast. Today we are headed to Plainfield. Hopefully the results will be the same!
