It's That Time Again!

Wednesday the band had a hog roast and a sneak preview of the 2009 show. The theme this year is "Name that Tune". It has numerous songs that people have heard but not always known the name. Some of the more popular ones are "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", "The Bottle Song" from Fiddler on the Roof, and "Maria" from Westside Story. Hopefully they are as successful as they were last year. We're looking forward to another great year. They will play at the first home football game next Friday.

The kids trying to teach their parents how to march. I felt very uncoordinated and that was without even trying to play music. I have a great respect for all of these kids!

This is one of the warm up drills that they call "Running with Scissors". I don't know why they call it that. They march forward so many counts and then to the left so many counts and keep repeating that.
