Just getting started

I have never tried doing anything like a blog, so this is just a trial and error type thing. I found out through the local newspaper that the school I have worked at for the last 7 years will be closing as of the 2009-2010 school year. I don't know what that really means as far as my employment goes. The Lead Nurse assured us at the end of the school year that the school board anticipates keeping all of the nurses. I am a little skeptical, though. I can't see them making cuts in every department except nursing. So, I am putting feelers out for a new job. The only problem is I've gotten spoiled working for the school corporation. I have weekends, holidays, and summers off. It is hard to find a job in the nursing field with those benefits.
